Newborn Connor | Sutton Baby Photography

Two and a half week old baby Connor was a dream!  Such as smiley boy!  I have really been lucky with older newborns lately.  I recommend you book your session before your baby is 10 days old, but it’s never too late to call!  Older newborns are not as flexible or curly (they’ve had time to stretch out, and grow!) so some poses are not possible.  But occasionally, a baby will curl up and sleep well in that 2-3 week old range.  Even if they don’t, beautiful images are still possible of your gorgeous baby.  Better late than never, right?  It’s so important to document the early days.  What is the first thing your baby’s grandparents did when you told them you were pregnant, or your baby was born?  They likely brought out YOUR baby album, to reminisce and argue about who the newborn looks like!  The professional photos you take today are not only for you, they are for your child, and your child’s children.  It is an investment that grows more valuable through the generations.

There were so many great pictures of Connor, I had a hard time narrowing down my favourites for this post!  It was a pleasure to work with Connor and his awesome parents.  They are so happy to welcome their first baby, their son Connor.  Enjoy!

Babies | Photography in Keswick

I had a great time with Emery and her family!  Even Grandma Shawn enjoyed herself at this session!  The night before, Shawn made some props to bring and we incorporated them into the photographs – she is so talented!  Emery looks adorable in the tutu, and there is special meaning behind it- Emery’s mom Ashley was involved in ballet dancing.  While I have many props that I carefully select with you prior to the session (we chose coral pink to match the nursery), I always encourage you to bring sentimental or family items to include in your images.

At 12 days old Emery slept like a baby (pun intended, hehe).  She looks adorably peaceful and snuggly in her portraits, and made my job very easy.  It was a pleasure spending the morning with you all!  Enjoy your beautiful photographs!  May they bring back the memory of how sweet and small your brand new baby girl was.

Classic Pregnancy Photos | GTA Photographer

Kylie and Myles were just the best to work with!  I am so thrilled they chose me to be their photographer, despite my location 1.5 hours from their home in Bracebridge.  Kylie was a stunning mom to be, and I just loved her in these elegant maternity gowns.  We chose to do an indoor studio session only, Ontario in March isn’t exactly picture perfect.  I love the images we created together, and can’t wait to reveal their baby’s photos.  Coming soon….  he is the most beautiful baby boy!  (Yes, my blogging is a little behind).  Enjoy a few of my favorite images from their session.

Newborn Photography Birth Announcement

I did something new for Rowben’s family, and thought I would share it here instead of my normal selection of images from the newborn session.

It was a pleasure to have big brother Arjen come in for the beginning of the session, to be in a few pictures with his baby brother.  Sibling photos are some of my favourite (and most challenging!).  Rowben was a darling baby, so sleepy and curly at 8 days old.  His familiy is smitten.  I used a few of my favorites in this online digital birth announcement.   (Waaaayyyy out of my comfort zone with slideshow / video).  I think I’ll start offering these with my sessions though, it was fun!  I’d love to hear what you think.  Leave me a comment below!
