Why do you decide to have a family portrait session? The answer is as different as people are. Some like to get a yearly photo to document their growing family, some like to celebrate an occasion or special milestone. Some include extended family while they are visiting from away. Some people decorate their home with large wall portraits, others prefer a yearly album.
My dear friend Jackelyn and her family like to get a yearly photo as their boys grow, and of course include the family dog! Her oldest boy will be starting school this September, and the youngest is celebrating his sitting milestone- and he’ll be on the move soon enough! The boys grandmother has the most gorgeous property! It includes barns, a grassy field, apple trees, even a cornfield! I’ve really been enjoying shooting at sunset, and this was the perfect location for it. Now that we’re into August, sunset is a little earlier so it’s easier for the little ones. The golden light is simply gorgeous and really sets the mood for sunny, warm family pictures. I love how this session turned out, here are just a few of my favourites!

Hi,
I am looking for a photographer to take a photo of my extended family. Are you available around New Years?
Thanks!
