It's great to meet you.
It’s my mission to help you remember forever what this newborn stage feels like: the tiny
fingers and toes, fine baby hair, the love you have for your brand new baby.
Becoming a mom is an incredible experience. I am so passionate about this time in a woman’s life; the excitement, the fear, the joy- it’s nothing short of miraculous. As a photographer, it’s my desire to create memories of this time for others. This season of life goes so quickly, and your memories can become lost in the busyness of caring for your family.
When I graduated from Sheridan College with my photography diploma I really didn’t know what it was I wanted to do with my skills as a photographer. I tried a lot of things over the years – weddings, business portraits, even product photography – but nothing seemed to reignite my passion until I discovered the world of newborn photography.
It was after the birth of my son, my second child, that I realized how important it was to capture the newborn stage.
It occurred to me that sadly, I had very few memories from when my daughter was that small. That was when I realized what I wanted to capture for others. My hope is that your photographs featuring the tiny details of your new baby will help you recall that sweet baby smell, the coos when they saw your smile, and just how small they once were in your arms.
In addition to my Applied Photography diploma from Sheridan College, I keep my education up to date with workshops, mentorships, and courses for safe handling of babies, and photographic lighting and editing. I am a Qualified Newborn Photographer with APNPI (Accredited Professional Newborn Photographers International) and have completed the safety education through this association, as well as received Accreditation in the posed Newborn Photography category.
